I’m a bit late on this conversation but feel like putting in my buck-o’five.

1) MySpace is free website and is always undergoing change and maintenance, sometimes you get lucky and your account is on the part of the database they are working on at the moment. Currently my account is unavailable. I’ll check back later tonight when I get a chance to see if my account is available, not a big deal.

2) My space is good for some people and not for others, if you want a relatively editable visual arena to express yourself then MySpace is decent, if you want one that is more blog oriented it’s not so ideal. IMHO MySpace is very clunky and not what I need, however I have friends and family on it and not other sites I am more active on, since they are happy with MySpace I created a MySpace account as another means of keeping in touch with them.

3) If you want something that is going to guarantee uptime then you will have to cough up some cash and even then you can not be guaranteed 100% uptime, ease or specific population.

"""END QUOTE""" :)

thank god cause i started off calm and one comment at a time i was getting irate. this is 100% correct.. mostly anyways. lets go with 98% to be safe. the best point in this statement and one i was thinking of since the very first comment on the page... ITS FREE. Tom could easily charge like a buck a month and 95% of the users would continue to use it. and the 5% that stopped would be because mommy wont allow them to put her credit card number on the internet. myspace is designed just how tom wanted it. and is it not tom's site? no one is forcing you to use it, but im sure as hell glad its there. its a great way to keep in touch with people that i just recently moved far away from. ive even ran across profiles of friends i had YEARS and YEARS ago, that i hadn't talked to in years and years... and now we talk regularly. and by the way ive been using myspace for over a year and this is the first time it wouldnt let me log in. for a free service i would say thats damn good. go use facebook if you dont like it. (facebook sucks the big one, by the way). and i dare you to post that "Tom is an idiot" or w/e you said, somewhere where a lot of people can see it. but if i were you i'd lock my door and load up my gun cause theres millions upon millions of people who love him. all you myspace haters can go to hell. btw 1 on 1 tom would break your face easily.

"whiny"? you guys are idiots.

Devin's right to be concerned. Myspace is so huge and unwieldy that I suspect it's tacked together with spit and bubblegum. It never was well-designed, and I wouldn't be surprised if it went down for days at a time. Which means people will go elsewhere and Myspace as we know it will die.
