But that then leaves you with a blanked out user name and password. And as I expect LJ didn't accept it. So I tried the same URL with Metaweblog and then entering my user name and password as Word requests. That didn't work either. I tried both again and again and still no go. I just tried it with LiveJournal using your “http://www.livejournal.com/interface/xmlrpc” example. But that then leaves you with a blanked out user name and password.
